Biography

Born in 1972 in Washington, D.C. Jen Mazza received her B.A. at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia followed by an M.F.A. from Mason Gross School for the Arts at Rutgers University. She lives and works in New York City where she teaches at Parsons School of Design. Mazza had a solo exhibition at the Jersey City Museum, New Jersey. In addition, she has been awarded artist residences at the Millay Colony for the Arts, The Jentel Foundation, Blue Mountain Center, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Yaddo, Geraldine R. Dodge Residency. Mazza has received a New Jersey State Council on the Arts award, Individual Artist Fellowship, Artist Alliance Inc. Lower East Side Rotating Studio Program Studio Award and a PS122 Project Space Award.
